Pilatus 910.31.20.040 Corrosion Preventative - 160 Ml Cartridge

Mastinox 6856K Jointing Compound is for assemblies that are likely to be separated in the future, and for temperatures that are likely to exceed 150-160°C. It can be applied on all assembly joints whether painted, coated or bare, with the use of a brush or spatula. It can also be thinned as necessary and poured from the can. The use of Thinner 0422/9000 is recommended to obtain the correct viscosity for any given application, with an emphasis on making sure that the joint is correctly filled.

Mastinox is not affected by most hydrocarbons or greases, however if Mastinox will be coming in contact with aggressive hydraulic fluids (example: Skydrol), the use of a conventional polyurethane paint system is recommended for protection.

Direct contact between different alloys can lead to galvanic corrosion at the joint. In assemblies which are subject to shock and vibration, this corrosion can be exacerbated by the presence of humidity. Jointing compounds are therefore required which both inhibit corrosion and at the same time, are effective insulators. Mastinox's remarkable flexibility minimizes any risk of cracking or separation resulting from aging.

Mastinox 6856H and 6856K meet with the performance requirements of MIL-P-8116B.
